Community Is About Keeping Plugged In
As human beings, we are social animals and thrive on connection. We all have circles we engage in. They are family, friends, neighbors, and civic groups such as the YMCA, the Red Hat Society, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and religious groups at churches, synagogues, and mosques.
Still, there are more social circles, such as workplace buddies, gym workout buddies, and school chums at all grade levels, and there are a plethora of online social media platforms.
But let’s not forget DIYers—the true unsung heroes who get down and dirty, hands-on, once they laugh off the bids for a home improvement project they got quotes for.
For the last two decades, our Friday night date nights usually ended at a big-box hardware store for me and my forever bride, Grace. We’d search down the nearly deserted store to scope out our next bucket list item.
When I browse YouTube and other social media channels, I’m in awe of the sheer number of frayed threads across different circles.
So I thought, I can’t be the only one who geeks out about certain subjects, particularly water treatment.
Imagine how exciting it would be to meet and converge regionally to see real knowledge applied in showcased homes and small- to medium-sized businesses that enhance the fresh ideas of a rig designed and engineered for exceptionally enhanced water quality.
I feel that different regions have unique water quality challenges.
Demographically speaking, we are the middle ground between the unprepared and the prepped preppers.
We haven’t lost hope in our ideology to the point where we need to go off the grid and carry our bug-out bags, painting the world as a dystopian society.
My concern about doomsday is to ‘dress for the forecasted weather’ in layers.
As I mentioned on our About Us page, it’s okay to do your own thing, but there is strength in numbers when we align in water treatment defense. The lone tree usually gets struck by lightning or blown over by high winds far more often out on flat land than when a grove of trees is grouped.
In water treatment, when proven information is shared with like-minded folks, it’s good to build a synergistic pool of knowledge and experience so we all have a more streamlined approach to achieving our goal of enhanced water.
As the need for solutions becomes more mainstream in society, once we develop a critical mass, where I could not stop this movement if I wanted to, we would need to rely on those beyond a chosen few at every corner of the world’s industrialized nations.
For now, given my experience with social media platforms, I will build a minimum viable solution and then scale from that initial point to the next pivot point.
From a lean startup offering education without generating revenue, I decided that YouTube would be the most practical social platform with the widest reach to the masses in the shortest time.
Allow some time for this little experiment that God has commissioned me to lead. For the time being, I’m investing all the initial startup costs and capital.
Currently, I’m in a unique situation where I can devote my time and all my resources to setting up an online distance-learning system. There are finer details to deploying this initiative, such as where to store digital resources until we go non-profit and hopefully receive endowments from outside the water treatment industry to avoid any perceived potential position of impropriety.
You are part of the experiment that proves my theory: a safe, proven way to live a healthier lifestyle that increases the odds of longevity when we reduce our exposure to contaminated and toxic water sources.
Let’s take the road less traveled on this journey together. More announcements are forthcoming, like milestones I’m envisioning in different phases. This is an exciting time to be alive. Your prayers for God’s continued favor and blessings upon this tiny enterprise are most appreciated.
Talk soon,
Mike Rogers
